  The facilities are OK however the actual stature for which the stop is known for is almost unreachable because of road works being done. Hopefully things will improve once works are complete as it has been great in the past.

  Iconic, but disappointingly small. No backstory at the place, and a very standard Australian souvenir shop sits behind. The fast food places next door are a more worthwhile stop between cities.

  I remember crying when I was little when I first heard about the dog on the tuckbox. What a beautiful, loyal animal the dog is. Definitely more obedient than my kids are sometimes

  You have to stop and pat the dog at least once! It's the Aussie thing to do. If you don't know the story or the song then stop for a bit of Aussie history.

  The literature for this attraction provides a more moving story than the actual attraction though.
